One of HCA’s long-time customers approached HCA about powder coating a food sales stall, the initial idea was to powder coat the unit in a chrome finish. After further discussion it was identified that the location of the stall was going to be at the underground station at the O2 arena. This then presented some different issues in respect of what powders could be used, as any powder coating work for London Underground must be fully LUA approved powder.

HCA provided a number of approved powder samples to our client who selected an IGP Chrome powder that fully meets the LUA approval requirements. HCA then powder coated the stall, which turned out to be the well-known brand Subway. Since the stall was installed, HCA have completed 5 further units.
